pD IDMer

- its hard to find good, easy-to-use
-IDM-style drum machines nowadays.
This meets most of the basic requirements.

This is just a basic 8-file drum machine. The key range is from C5 to C6.
Onboard is a pulse clock measured in BPM`s, which drives the looping.
In turn, each wave file has a meter divider to individually distinguish loop
frequencies dependant on the clock rate

Rate is the tempo slider for the internal pulse clock.

C5, D5, E5, etc., etc., . . . . are the cells (to borrow a nifty term from Native Instruments) in which a wave file is loaded. The Letter/Number refers to note on a standard sequencer piano roll.

loop is the switch to turn looping on or off.

Pitch is a knob designed for simple tuning of the wave based on sample frequency. Middle octave is 5, so 6 would be one octave up, double frequency, twice as fast. 3 would be two octaves down, a quarter the frequency of the original, and four times as long. Independant of the looping.

Meter is the switch next to pitch. This divides the tempo from the clock into a musical meter for the selected wave.

Volume and pan are self explanatory. The volume is overdriven, so just a few negative volts may put your wave file into silence. The pan is equal intensity (0db). The LED at the bottom of the cell is an audio out indicator for that cell.

The dll file that came with this README is a VST-fx plugin (vst2.0) to be
used in a capable host. If you have no idea how to use this plugin, refer
to your host manual for installing and using VST plugins.

pD IDMer was made with Jeff McClintock`s Synthedit v0.80 beta. Yes,
there are likely to be updates due to the constant changing nature of Synthedit`s
capabilities and bugfixes.
pD IDMer was constructed by toda_V and
skinned using POV-RAY for Windows and Paint Shop Pro.
Meter Switch supplied by Mortiance (Mikko Hyyryläinen ), for those of you familiar with the Land of Cockaigne softsynths.
